Fireworks by the Sea and Gazebo Entertainment kicked off the summer season this evening on the boardwalk. You can enjoy Fireworks by the Sea every Thursday evening at sunset during the summer months. Fireworks begin at 9pm and Gazebo Entertainment begins at 6:30pm. Happy Summer!

One of our hidden gem’s is the Snow’s Cut Bike Path that runs directly under the bridge, along side the water and down towards the Carolina Beach public boat ramp. It was the perfect day for The Pleasure Island Chowder Cook Off! It was a day full of great music and amazing chowder. Congratulations to Havana’s, the 2012 champion!
Britt’s Donut Shop is officially open! If you’re visiting Pleasure Island, Britt’s Donuts is a must-do. Internationally known for their incredible donuts, Britt’s only stays open for the six or seven warm months of the year—the time that Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher are crawling with tourists. However, Britt’s isn’t just a tourist attraction, they are loved by locals also!
Britt’s Donut Shop is located on the boardwalk in Carolina Beach. And when you visit, be sure to grab several dozen… not only will there be lines backed out through the entire boardwalk, but you won’t be able to get enough!

Carolina Beach’s State Park Marina provides access to some of North Carolina’s best fishing spots. The marina is equipped with two launching ramps and 54 boat slips accommodating boats up to 40 feet in length. Also provided are diesel fuel and regular gas pumps. Snacks and restrooms are available at the marina and showers are available for boat slip renters.
Boat slips are rented out on a first come first served basis, and long term dockage is available upon application submission. Rentals are available year round, more information is available by visiting this website.
